Valget, der fandt sted i store dele af Storbritannien den 7. maj, var et knusende slag for det regerende Labour-parti, der mistede 1229 byrådsmedlemmer i England, endte på tredjepladsen ved valget til den walisiske Sennedd (parlamentet i Cymru/Wales) og mistede yderligere opbakning ved valget til det skotske parlament.

Med en vælgerandel på 16 procent i Skotland og 11 procent i Wales var valget den 7. maj et af de værste valgresultater nogensinde for Labour. Her ser vi nærmere på resultaterne fra det samtidige lokalvalg i England.
